Congenial was the brainchild of independent physicians in response to the highly competitive and often difficult-to-navigate healthcare market. It was created as an alternative model to existing market pressures whereby physicians can maintain their autonomy, improve their cost sharing (i.e. overhead), improve their bargaining power and provide the most cost-effective, highest quality care for their patients.
